Adopt an artist for the 2010 Out & About Paint Out!
40 Plein Air Painters will be out on the streets, in parks, near waterways
and landmarks on Thursday and Friday, Oct 21st and 22nd.

They will also be seeking subject matter for their paintings in picturesque and
interesting neighborhoods - both residential and commercial. Our artists are
intrigued with capturing street scenes, gardens, historical sites, storefronts and
cafés, as well as industrial subjects.

Would you be interested in hosting a painter for the day?
All that you need to do, is provide access to a restroom and some sort of
light lunch and beverage.
We are looking for residents and/or businesses to host.
Artists will be painting on or near your property . . . and are so appreciative
to have somewhere to take a break during the long day of painting outdoors.

Be a part of this fun, educational, artsy annual event!
You can host a painter for one day - or both days.
There is no obligation, on your part, to purchase a painting . . .
but many hosts love the idea of having their little corner of Norfolk,
preserved on canvas.

We will have artists at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, on the Bay, painting from balconies in the waterfront condos . . . in parks and on the busy streets - back in quiet neighborhoods, and just about anyplace they can put up their easels!

Find the artists - watch them work - come to the Wet Painting Sale on Saturday evening and take home a painting of your town, Norfolk.
